Specialized care
The caring for minors programme is provided at the Villa de Vallecas Centre. It is a specialized comprehensive intervention service, financed and promoted by the Directorate General for the Family and Minors of the Community of Madrid.
The I+I Programme is intended for children and teens between the ages of 6 and 17 years referred by the Social Services of the Community of Madrid, with whom we work in different areas during the afternoons:
- Personal and social development area (social skills, learning about values, health education, etc.)
- Family area (tutoring and family follow-up, parenting school)
- Educational area (directed studies, extracurricular support, study habits and techniques, academic and work guidance, etc.)
- Leisure and free time area (sports, recreational activities, weekend outings, urban camp, etc.)
The professional team is made up of professionals and support volunteers who carry out the activities, evaluate and follow up on the cases in an individualized and continuous way. Through this comprehensive and individualized intervention with the participants, we prevent and reduce risk situations and behaviours that could hinder the development and normal integration of the minors.
